Andrew Meckley
Builder · Product Leader · Mentor
I believe anyone can go from idea to prototype in a weekend. Meckman Lab is where I prove it.
This is my public workshop for experiments in AI, robotics, computer vision, and web applications. Every project here started as a question: What if I could build an autonomous rover that follows waypoints? A dashboard that tracks economic health across entire industries? A 3D platformer starring a scanned version of myself? Each one shipped. Each one taught me something new.
I build because building is how I learn. I publish because I believe your work should be visible. A portfolio isn't a resume. It's proof that you ship, that you're curious, and that you're always getting better.
The technology stack changes constantly. Right now I'm deep in AI, from LLM powered assistants and image generation to computer vision and motion tracking. I build on Cloudflare Workers, React, Three.js, and whatever else the project demands. The tools don't matter as much as the habit: pick a problem, build something, put it in the world.
I studied Agriculture Systems Technology at Iowa State University and earned an MBA from the University of Iowa. One taught me how machines and technology work together. The other taught me how to build and scale the business around it. Both gave me a foundation to keep learning long after the classroom.
I'm a FIRST Robotics mentor and FFA alumni, mentor, and supporter. I give hundreds of hours and dollars to these organizations every year because the best thing you can do with what you've learned is help someone else get started sooner. These programs build the technologists and leaders of the future, and I want to inspire others to support them too.
If you're moved to give, you can donate to FIRST Robotics or support FFA.
Work hard. Be nice. Be helpful.
